The near real-time inversion of transient seismic signals follows the concept of Kawakatsu and Tajima. A moving time window approach is combined with full spatial grid search over the region of interest to invert continuously for source centroid and moment. Sources above an amplitude / energy threshold will be 'triggered' and declared as events to be used for possible further analysis. We concentrate on long period events below 0.5 Hz in the first phase of the project.
